2018 Team Presentation Speakers

2018 Presentation Speakers

It was a good year, a good trip, and a good presentation.

Our leaders and some of our team shared of some of the logistics of our trip, but in the end, it was more about what we learned, experienced, and how we grew.

Thanks to all the team members, including Chris H from OKC, and Paul and Denise coming in from Mississippi, and of course, our home church at evergreensgv.org

Please keep our homeowners in your prayers, as we continue to pray for:

The Shipleys
Josh and Sarah and
Miss Susan

And thanks for your continued prayer support and interest in our efforts to try and bless others because God has been so good to us, not only in providing these growing friendships and opportunities to serve, but to let us see firsthand God trying to care for people, even when using imperfect but willing people like us (and hopefully you too!).

Here’s a playlist of all the videos

Or you can view them individually below:

2018 Team Presentation Video

Thanks so much for those of you who have supported us over our trip to Louisiana, On 6/17/18, we presented to members of our church, our friends, family and supporters, a brief glimpse of our trip.

A key part of encapsulating that trip is a presentation video. We take for granted the work that Jimmy puts into it, but it’s so much appreciated.

Okay, here’s the video we showed at the presentation, and soon we’ll have a blog post with what the speakers said…

enjoy!

OKC 2017 Team Presentation

On 6/11/2017, the team shared with our friends, supporters and some of the Sunday school classes.

In our last official event as a team, we had an overview of the trip, then four newbies came up to share their experiences.

Craig K – Team Intro: (1:15)
Jeff H – Recap work performed (5:02)

Kevin T (via video) (8:29) :
was on the road, but wanted to share his story both of how circumstances allowed him to go on the trip, and what he learned as part of that process.

Brandon (19:32) :
spoke on the opportunity to go on the trip, previously knowing few people on the team, and moments of quiet, humility and God’s goodness during the trip

Roz (30:29) :
had an unexpected healing moment that could only come in community of church and a supportive family.

Kevin L (45:10) :
shared from the perspective of a dad, and how that related to his relationship with his Heavenly Father, God.

Video (52:39) :
And we wrapped it up with Jimmy’s video, ending in Chris H’s touching prayer on our last day on site.

Thanks to Gary M for shooting and editing this video!

2012 Katrina Video

Here’s the video that Gary worked so hard on.

Thanks for all the photos submitted, especially from Gary and James…

Katrina 2012 Sent Strengthened Blessed from SGV Habitat on Vimeo.

Evergreen SGV Sent 17 missionaries to Mississippi to work with Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Gulf Coast. God Strengthened the team members to do the good works they were created to do. The team was Blessed as they served in all capacities and sought to be a blessing to others.
This video was created to capture the heart of this trip and was presented as part of the Final Presentation for this missions trip.
Thanks to photo and video contributors Peter, Tommy, James, Art, and Craig.

Two Invitations!

You’re invited to our presentation!

We’ll be sharing some food and some stories at our team presentation

It’ll be held at our church, Evergreen SGV, on Sunday June 10 at 12:30pm in the Multi Purpose Room on campus. We hope to see you there!

Geneva Dedications
Also, the week afterwards, especially if you worked on the project, our local affiliate, SGVHabitat.org will be dedicating the homes on Geneva! Dedication will be on Saturday, June 16th at 11am. We’ve also been invited to give a benediction during the dedication!

Okay, a third invitation…
Finally, you’re invited to follow along with our sister church, Lifesong, as their journey begins today. After traveling as a joint team with us three years ago, they’ve been going to the New Orleans area with their church affiliate. Read their blog at http://katrinareliefteam.wordpress.com/

Presentation this Sunday!

Thanks again for all your support.

Sorry I didn’t remember to put this up sooner, but we’ll be having a presentation this Sunday, June 14th, at our church, Evergreen SGV, immediately following our 11am service.

A Big Old Meal will be provided, as well as a slide show and Q&A with some (believe, me, you don’t want to hear all 21) of our team.

We’d love to see you.

Thanks again
